Our next OGM will be on 24th January from 5pm until 6:30pm at Jo Cox House, 90 Commercial Street, Batley WF17 5DS Batley. There is parking at the venue and refreshments will be provided.
The meeting will be prioritising motions for Annual Conference and electing our delegates. The motion booklet is here.
This year’s NEU Annual Conference will be in Bournemouth from 3rd-6th April 2024. Delegates will need to travel down on Tuesday 2nd April.
Annual Conference is a really good way to get involved and be part of the debates and decision making of the union. We are keen to encourage new colleagues to attend conference.
Members can self-nominate by emailing hazel.danson@neu.org.uk by midday on Wednesday 24th January 2024 or nominations can be made at the general meeting.
Kirklees NEU can elect 12 Representatives to attend annual conference.
If an election is required, this will take place at the General Meeting on Wednesday 24th January 2024. If the meeting is inquorate, it will be necessary to hold an electronic ballot of members which will close on Friday 2nd February 2024.
Hotel accommodation and travel and subsistence costs will be met and there are free creche facilities available.
National Executive By-election District 2. You will have received a ballot for the election of a member from our region to represent us on the National Executive. Please do read the information from candidates and vote. Further information is on the Kirklees NEU website. Kirklees agreed to Nominate Saleem Rashid at our meeting in November.
