Please join us for this webinar on Jully 8, at 6pm. We were honoured to have members of the British Rohingya community come and talk at one of our meetings so this will be a great chance to hear more and get an update on the situation.
This is a crucial time for the Rohingya: after fleeing mass-scale ethnic cleansing, Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh are experiencing a humanitarian crisis, children have been frozen out of school for more than two years and now COVID-19 is spreading in the camps.
Join NEU international activists alongside the British Rohingya Community, youth advocates, human rights experts and MPs to learn about this crisis and how you can express solidarity and support the Rohingya.
Speakers:
Chair – Gawain Little (Chair of the NEU International Committee)
Hazel Danson (NEU Treasurer and Executive Member)
Sirazul Islam (Youth Advocate, British Rohingya Community)
Yasmin Qureshi MP (Shadow International Development Minister)
Nijam Uddin (General Secretary, British Rohingya Community)
Bill Van Es Veld (Associate Director, Human Rights Watch)
